New Employees Left to Right ( Kyle, Michelle, and Terry)
As Tanque Verde Ranch grows, we have brought some new employees on board we’d like you to meet! We are excited for what is to come with such a great team!
Terry Hanley, Assistant General Manager
Terry has been familiar with the Tucson area being he lived here for five years back in 1996. When the opportunity presented itself, Terry saw the Ranch as a perfect career for taking on new challenges with learning about horses, and ranch life in the hospitality industry. From the interview process back in June, Terry was excited to be on the team.
“The Ranch is special, and I needed to be a part of it,” Terry said.
As the new Assistant General Manager at Tanque Verde Ranch, Terry is responsible for day-to-day operations, employee satisfaction, guest satisfaction, assisting in maintaining the property, driving revenues, expense control, budgeting, and if the roads flood, cooking breakfast! Terry sees great potential in the Ranch and can’t wait to contribute to the growth in the future. Terry also finds the history of the Ranch to be fascinating.
“I am learning new things every day.”
Terry carries an array of hospitality experience. He started in Calgary Alberta, with a family-owned restaurant business. After 11 years in the food and beverage industry, he began his first hotel job at Westin Calgary. Terry quickly moved from the Food and Beverage side of things to explore more on the hotel side. After a good three years, Terry received another great opportunity to work at the Westin Maui. Here, Terry worked with the front desk, housekeeping, profit improvement, and Service Express for almost seven years. He then moved to the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, before transferring to Portland, Oregon, where he was General Manager of The Four Points by Sheraton. Terry was born in Alberta, Canada, and moved to Calgary when he was three years old. He considers Calgary home. Terry has two boys, Carter (15) and Cameron (12).

In his spare time, Terry enjoys traveling, golfing, ice skating, hiking, and spending time with his boys. Every year for the last five years Terry, Cameron, and Carter take off to the Columbia River Gorge where Dave Matthews plays a live show over the three day Labor Day weekend. They are all huge fans and have a blast every single time.
Being in Tucson, seeing the sun every single day, makes Terry happy. That’s how he knows that returning was such a great idea. With a great sense of humor, enjoying people, and taking pride in the work he does, we can expect a lot to come from Terry in the years to come! We are all thrilled to welcome Terry to our Tanque Verde Ranch Team!
Kyle Moellering, Accounting Manager
Kyle has over seven years of accounting experience throughout his career. His first four years he worked in public accounting. Following that Kyle worked at Grand View Lodge, which is Tanque Verde’s sister company in Minnesota. Kyle worked there for three years as the Senior Accountant.
Intrigued by the Ranch’s beauty and uniqueness, Kyle moved from Minnesota to sunny Arizona to take the Accounting Manager position where he prepares monthly financials and budgets for the Ranch. Kyle lives in Arizona with his significant other, and his cat. He finds it going quite well.
“Enjoying a fresh cup of coffee on my balcony, enjoying the sun,
is the perfect way to start my day.”
In Kyle’s spare time he enjoys golf and playing the guitar. Kyle is excited to continue to grow as a professional at the Tanque Verde Ranch. The Ranch is perfect for Kyle as he likes to learn new things and catches on fairly quickly. He looks forward to creating meaningful financial reports that will help managers make better decisions and to help processes that can improve efficiencies at the Ranch.
We are excited to have Kyle, new to the Ranch, but still a Cote Family Destinations employee, on our team. We look forward to growing with you!
Michelle Wilson, Director of Human Resources
Michelle grew up in the Tucson area and has been familiar with Tanque Verde Ranch after attending weddings and different events there throughout the years. She has always loved the Ranch especially because she grew up riding horses. She has an interesting background working at the Hilton for over 16 years as a Director of Human Resources. As the new Human Resources Director at the Ranch, Michelle will take on managing all aspects of HR functions.
Michelle has an incredible 14-year-old daughter named Madison. Michelle enjoys being a full-time mom to her full-time volleyball player. They spend time together that way, and they love it! When Michelle has other spare time, she enjoys working out and traveling when she can. Michelle loves to start her day off right with some quiet time and a cup of coffee to get her going. After that, she’s ready to tackle anything that comes her way.
“I am outgoing and like to have fun no matter what the situation.”
Michelle is excited to be at the Tanque Verde Ranch surrounded by the everyday beauty. She enjoys learning the massive amounts of history the Ranch unfolds from day to day. She is most excited to be working with a great team and Cote Family Destinations.
